My Parking Buddy was created for the moments when a map pin gets you close, but does not tell you which floor, bay, lift, stairs or entrance you need.
Why I built My Parking Buddy
Parking in an unfamiliar place can leave you with more to remember than a location on a map. You may need the level, row, bay, nearest lift, stairwell, payment machine or a visual clue showing the route back.
My Parking Buddy is designed as a quick, practical personal utility. Tap “I’ve parked”, save the location and add only the photos or details you may need later.
A real example
One of the clearest examples came from a ferry journey. A map could identify the terminal, but a photo of the vehicle deck and nearby stairs was the information that actually helped when it was time to return to the car.
Focused rather than complicated
The app is not intended to be a large parking platform. It does not take payments, provide live parking availability or require a custom account. It focuses on helping you remember your own parking place and return to it.

This app has been built as a personal project in my own free time to solve a task that I personally wanted an app for.
I sometimes compare building apps to Lego for grown-ups: I enjoy taking an idea and gradually turning it into a useful, finished product.
My focus is to have fun building apps and, hopefully, receive useful reviews and feedback. I plan to keep free versions available to download. Some parts of the website or app may include adverts or promotions, mainly to help cover costs such as hosting, development and app store fees.
